The recurring fictional MSP customer used across this site's lessons, a single company that scales from small business to mid-market to enterprise across the Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced courses.
Able Moose Accounting is the canonical fictional customer used in lesson examples and quiz prompts across learn.msp.au. The same company appears at three scales so that a learner who completes Beginner → Intermediate → Advanced builds a coherent mental model of how the same kind of customer evolves with size.
- Beginner — Able Moose Accounting, a 15-person bookkeeping firm in one office, one Microsoft 365 tenant, default policies, mostly Windows laptops.
- Intermediate — Able Moose Accounting (mid-market), 120 staff across three offices, hybrid working, finance/HR split, multiple Network Sites, baseline + override policy structure.
- Advanced — Able Moose Group, 1,800 staff across 14 acquired sub-firms in a parent/child organisation structure, regional compliance variation, in-house IT collaborating with the MSP.
When you see Able Moose in a lesson, you’re not meeting a new toy company, you’re seeing the persona the learner met at the previous level, scaled.
