SAT

Also known as: Security Awareness Training, security awareness

Security Awareness Training. Scheduled training assignments and simulated phishing campaigns delivered to end users to reduce the human-error surface in a security stack.

SAT (Security Awareness Training) is the human-facing security control: regular short training videos delivered as Assignments, paired with simulated phishing Campaigns that test how learners respond. The metric that earns its keep is Compromise Rate by Attempt, the rate at which learners interact with simulated phishes, bucketed by their nth attempt rather than calendar time. Repeated training drives this rate down even when the scenarios get harder.

For an MSP, SAT raises the human floor while technical controls (MFA, conditional access, email security) raise the technical floor. They are complementary, not alternatives.

Common products: Huntress Managed SAT (the Curricula acquisition, delivered via the mycurricula.com admin platform), KnowBe4, Hoxhunt, Mimecast Awareness Training. The MSP-friendly differentiator for Huntress SAT is the same partner portal model as the rest of the suite.
