disclaimer
Also known as: disclaimers, email disclaimer
Plain-text legal text appended to outbound email after the signature, configurable as a standalone Disclaimer object, a Disclaimer signature element, or text inside the template.
In Exclaimer, disclaimer can mean three different things, and the right object depends on the job. The standalone Disclaimers feature (Standard and Pro plans) appends plain text up to 5000 characters after any active signature, with its own Senders and Recipients rules and date-window controls; on Gmail it’s server-side only. The Disclaimer signature element lives inside a signature template and renders Brand Kit text with Brand Kit fonts and colours. Or the disclaimer can simply be a Text element pasted into the template.
Plain-text disclaimer objects can’t carry hyperlinks; for hyperlinked legal text use a Text element. Email disclaimers don’t provide complete legal protection; the customer’s compliance authority owns the text wording, and the MSP implements faithfully. Even typo corrections in regulatory disclosures should be authorised in writing for the audit trail.
